Last updated: Aug 27, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to GoRentiva. GoRentiva is a rental management and property management platform designed to help landlords and tenants manage properties, rental information, rent records, agreements, complaints, maintenance requests, notifications and related services.

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GoRentiva website, applications, dashboards, features and related services ("Services").

By registering for, accessing or using GoRentiva, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the Services.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law to use GoRentiva.

By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to use the account and any property, tenancy or payment information you submit.

3. GoRentiva's Role

GoRentiva is a technology platform that provides tools for rental and property management.

GoRentiva is not a landlord, tenant, property owner, property broker, real-estate agent, financial institution or bank unless expressly stated otherwise.

GoRentiva does not own, rent, sell or physically manage properties listed or managed by users.

Any rental agreement, tenancy arrangement, payment obligation, maintenance responsibility or other relationship between a landlord and tenant is primarily between those parties.

GoRentiva provides technology to facilitate management and communication and is not a party to the underlying landlord-tenant relationship unless expressly agreed otherwise.

4. User Accounts

You may be required to create an account to access certain GoRentiva features.

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and current information.
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account credentials.
  • Protecting OTPs and other authentication information.
  • All activity carried out through your account.
  • Informing GoRentiva promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must not share your account credentials or allow another person to use your account where such use is not authorised.

5. Landlord Responsibilities

Landlords using GoRentiva are responsible for ensuring that the property and rental information they provide is accurate and lawful.

Landlords are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate property, rent and unit information.
  • Ensuring that they have the legal authority to manage or rent the property.
  • Using tenant information only for legitimate rental or property-management purposes.
  • Obtaining any required permissions or consents from tenants or other persons.
  • Ensuring that rental agreements and other documents comply with applicable laws.
  • Resolving rental disputes and tenancy matters directly with the relevant tenant where appropriate.

GoRentiva does not independently verify ownership, title, possession or legal authority over every property listed by a landlord.

6. Tenant Responsibilities

Tenants using GoRentiva are responsible for providing accurate information and documents.

Tenants must:

  • Provide truthful account and identity information.
  • Upload only documents that belong to them or that they are legally authorised to provide.
  • Keep their account credentials secure.
  • Make rental or other payments according to their agreement with the landlord.
  • Use GoRentiva only for lawful purposes.

7. Property Listings and Information

Property information displayed on GoRentiva may be provided by landlords or other authorised users.

GoRentiva does not guarantee that every property listing, photograph, address, rent amount, availability, ownership claim or other property information provided by users is accurate, complete or current.

Users should independently verify important property, ownership, rental and financial information before entering into any transaction or agreement.

8. Rental Agreements

GoRentiva may provide tools for creating, storing or managing rental agreements and related information.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, GoRentiva does not provide legal advice and does not guarantee that a rental agreement generated, uploaded or stored through the platform is legally sufficient for a particular situation.

Landlords and tenants are responsible for reviewing agreements and obtaining independent legal advice where necessary.

9. Rent Payments and Transactions

GoRentiva may provide features that allow users to record rent payments or, where enabled, initiate rental or subscription payments through the platform.

Where online payments are available, payments may be facilitated through one or more third-party payment gateways or financial service providers.

GoRentiva is a technology platform facilitating the payment process and is not a bank, financial institution or payment service provider unless expressly stated otherwise.

Users are responsible for ensuring that the payment amount, beneficiary details, account information and other transaction details entered by them are correct.

GoRentiva is not responsible for losses caused by incorrect information entered by a user, including incorrect beneficiary or bank account details, subject to applicable law.

10. Payment Processing and Third-Party Providers

Payment transactions may depend on banks, UPI networks, payment gateways, card networks and other third-party financial infrastructure.

Transactions may be delayed, declined, reversed, suspended or rejected because of technical problems, insufficient funds, security checks, banking restrictions, payment-provider policies, suspected fraud, network failures or other circumstances outside GoRentiva's reasonable control.

GoRentiva may delay, suspend or reject a transaction where reasonably necessary to address security, fraud, compliance or operational concerns.

A payment status displayed on GoRentiva may depend on information received from the applicable payment provider and should not be treated as an independent guarantee of settlement where the payment provider has not confirmed the transaction.

11. Failed Transactions and Refunds

If a payment fails or cannot be completed, any refund or reversal will be handled according to the applicable payment gateway, bank, card network, UPI system and applicable laws.

Where GoRentiva or its payment provider is unable to complete a transaction because of a technical or processing issue, the applicable amount may be refunded or reversed through the payment method or process supported by the relevant payment provider.

A successful payment or settlement may not be automatically refundable merely because a user changes their mind or has a dispute with another user. Refunds are subject to the applicable transaction terms, payment-provider rules, GoRentiva's applicable refund policy and applicable law.

12. Incorrect or Fraudulent Transactions

Users must immediately notify GoRentiva if they notice a suspicious, unauthorised or potentially fraudulent transaction associated with their GoRentiva account.

Users are responsible for keeping their passwords, OTPs, payment credentials and other security information confidential.

GoRentiva may investigate suspicious transactions and may take reasonable measures including temporarily restricting an account or transaction where necessary for security, fraud prevention or legal compliance.

GoRentiva cannot guarantee recovery of funds where a transaction has already been successfully processed by a bank or payment provider, particularly where the transaction resulted from incorrect information, compromised credentials or user negligence, subject to applicable law.

13. KYC and Identity Verification

GoRentiva may provide KYC or identity-verification features where enabled.

Submitting KYC documents does not by itself guarantee approval, tenancy, property access or any other outcome.

Users must provide genuine and accurate documents and must not upload forged, altered, stolen or misleading identity documents.

Where KYC information is shared with an authorised landlord or property owner through the platform, it may be used only for legitimate rental, identity-verification, compliance or property-management purposes.

GoRentiva may restrict, suspend or terminate accounts where there is reasonable evidence of fraudulent, forged or unauthorised documentation.

14. Complaints and Maintenance Requests

GoRentiva may allow tenants and landlords to create and manage complaints, maintenance requests and related communications.

GoRentiva provides the technology for recording and communicating such requests but does not guarantee a particular resolution, response time or outcome unless expressly stated in a separate service agreement.

Emergency situations, including fire, medical emergencies, criminal activity, gas leaks, electrical hazards or other immediate threats to life or property, should be reported directly to the appropriate emergency services or responsible persons.

15. Notifications and Communications

GoRentiva may send account, security and service-related communications including OTPs, rent reminders, payment notifications, agreement updates, complaint notifications, emails, SMS, browser notifications and WhatsApp-related messages or links.

Some communications are necessary for operating your account and may not be disabled while the relevant service is active.

WhatsApp and other external communication services are operated by third parties and are subject to their own terms and policies.

16. User Content

You may upload or submit information such as property photos, documents, descriptions, complaints, agreements and other content.

You remain responsible for the content you submit and confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions to upload and use it.

  • Is illegal, fraudulent or misleading.
  • Infringes another person's intellectual-property or privacy rights.
  • Contains malware, malicious code or harmful software.
  • Contains abusive, threatening or unlawful material.
  • Contains another person's confidential or personal information without appropriate authority.

17. Acceptable Use and Security Rules

You must use GoRentiva only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You must not:

  • Attempt to access data, accounts, servers or systems that you are not authorised to access.
  • Probe, scan or test GoRentiva systems or networks for vulnerabilities without written authorisation.
  • Attempt to bypass authentication or other security measures.
  • Upload viruses, malware, Trojan horses or other harmful code.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Services or the experience of other users.
  • Send spam, unsolicited promotional messages or unauthorised advertising through GoRentiva.
  • Scrape, copy or collect GoRentiva data through automated means without permission.
  • Use GoRentiva to commit, facilitate or encourage any criminal or unlawful activity.
  • Impersonate another person or organisation.
  • Upload forged, fraudulent or unauthorised KYC documents.

GoRentiva may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate accounts where reasonably necessary. Serious security violations may also be reported to appropriate authorities where required or permitted by law.

18. Intellectual Property

GoRentiva's software, website design, branding, logos, text, graphics, interfaces and other platform content are owned by or licensed to GoRentiva unless otherwise stated.

You may use the Services only for their intended purpose. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell or commercially exploit GoRentiva's proprietary content or technology without prior written permission.

We aim to keep GoRentiva available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that the Services will always be uninterrupted, error-free or available at all times.

The Services may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, upgrades, technical problems, network failures, payment-provider interruptions, authentication-service interruptions or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

21. Suspension and Termination

GoRentiva may suspend, restrict or terminate an account if:

  • The user violates these Terms.
  • The account is involved in suspected fraud or unlawful activity.
  • False, misleading or fraudulent information is provided.
  • The account presents a security or operational risk.
  • Required subscription payments remain unpaid.
  • Suspension or termination is required by applicable law.

Users may stop using GoRentiva at any time and may request account deletion in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

22. Disclaimer

23. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GoRentiva and its owners, officers, employees and service providers will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from your use of or inability to use the Services.

This may include losses arising from landlord-tenant disputes, inaccurate information provided by users, payment failures caused by third-party providers, incorrect transaction details, third-party service interruptions, unauthorised access resulting from the user's failure to protect their credentials, or events outside GoRentiva's reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

24. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless GoRentiva, its owners, officers, employees, agents and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, damages and reasonable costs arising from:

  • Content or documents uploaded by you.
  • Your misuse of another user's personal information.
  • Your actions or omissions in connection with a rental transaction or payment.

25. Third-Party Services

GoRentiva may depend on third-party services including payment gateways, banks, UPI networks, authentication providers, hosting providers, email/SMS services, WhatsApp and other technology providers.
