At GoRentiva, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account data: name, email, mobile, password (hashed), avatar and role (landlord/tenant/admin).
- Property data: title, address, photos, rent, unit details, agreements and payment records.
- KYC documents: Aadhaar, PAN and selfie uploaded by tenants for verification by their landlord.
- Usage data: pages visited, actions taken, browser type and IP address (used only for security and analytics).
2. How we use your data
- To operate your dashboard — listings, rent, complaints, agreements and KYC.
- To send transactional notifications (email, browser push, WhatsApp click-to-chat).
- To improve product features, prevent fraud and comply with legal requirements.
3. What we never do
- We never sell your data to third parties.
- We never share your KYC docs with anyone other than your assigned landlord.
- We never read your private WhatsApp/email conversations.
4. Data storage & security
All data is stored on encrypted-at-rest servers in India. Passwords are salted and hashed using industry-standard bcrypt. File uploads are served over HTTPS.
5. Your rights
- Access or download your data anytime from your Profile page.
- Request permanent deletion by emailing support@rentiva.in.
- Opt out of push notifications from the notification bell settings.
6. Cookies
We use only essential cookies (session ID) and no third-party trackers. You can clear them anytime from your browser settings.
7. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page and notify you via email/dashboard whenever material changes are made. Continued use of GoRentiva after changes means you accept them.
