This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how refunds, cancellations, failed transactions and payment-related issues are handled when using GoRentiva.
By making a payment through GoRentiva, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Refund & Cancellation Policy, our Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
GoRentiva may process or facilitate different types of payments, including:
The refund treatment may differ depending on the type of payment.
Where GoRentiva facilitates online rental payments, the payment represents a transaction between the tenant (or payer) and the designated landlord or beneficiary.
GoRentiva provides the technology to facilitate or record such payments and is not a party to the underlying rental agreement or landlord-tenant relationship.
Once a rental payment has been successfully processed and credited to the designated beneficiary, GoRentiva does not automatically provide a refund merely because the tenant or landlord subsequently has a disagreement regarding the rent, tenancy, property, agreement or other underlying matter.
Any dispute relating to the underlying rent obligation should normally be resolved between the landlord and tenant, subject to applicable law.
If a payment fails and the amount has not been successfully settled with the intended beneficiary, the payment may be reversed or refunded through the applicable payment gateway, bank or payment method.
Refund processing times may depend on the payment gateway, bank, card network, UPI network or other financial institution involved.
GoRentiva does not control the processing time of third-party banks or payment providers.
Once a payment has been successfully processed and the amount has been credited or settled with the designated beneficiary, the payment will generally not be automatically refundable by GoRentiva.
If a user believes that a successful transaction was made incorrectly, duplicated, unauthorised or processed for an incorrect amount, the user should contact GoRentiva as soon as possible with the relevant transaction details.
Where appropriate, GoRentiva may coordinate with the applicable payment provider or beneficiary to investigate the transaction.
If the same payment is accidentally made more than once and the duplicate transaction is successfully identified, GoRentiva may review the matter and, where appropriate, facilitate a refund or reversal through the applicable payment provider.
Refund eligibility and processing may depend on the payment provider's rules and whether the funds have already been settled with the beneficiary.
If you believe that a transaction was unauthorised or fraudulent, you should notify GoRentiva and, where applicable, your bank or payment provider immediately.
GoRentiva may investigate the transaction and may take reasonable measures to protect the account or prevent further unauthorised transactions.
GoRentiva cannot guarantee recovery of funds where a transaction has already been successfully processed by a bank or payment provider, particularly where the transaction resulted from compromised credentials, user negligence or incorrect information provided by the user.
Nothing in this section limits any rights or remedies available to you under applicable law.
GoRentiva may offer free and paid subscription plans that provide access to different features, limits or services.
Before purchasing a paid plan, the applicable price, billing period and available features will be displayed on the GoRentiva pricing or checkout page.
By completing a subscription payment, you authorise the applicable payment provider to process the payment for the selected plan.
Unless otherwise stated on the applicable plan or checkout page, cancellation of a subscription will prevent future renewals but does not automatically create a refund for the current billing period.
After cancellation, access to paid features may continue until the end of the applicable paid period, subject to the applicable plan terms.
GoRentiva may provide refunds or credits in exceptional circumstances at its discretion, subject to applicable law and the specific circumstances of the request.
A subscription payment may be considered for refund where:
Refund requests based solely on non-use of the subscription, change of mind or failure to use available features may not be eligible for a refund unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly stated at the time of purchase.
Where a refund is processed, any applicable payment gateway, banking or transaction charges that are non-refundable may be deducted where permitted by applicable law and the terms displayed at the time of the transaction.
GoRentiva will not deduct charges that it is not legally permitted to deduct.
Once a refund is approved or initiated, the actual time taken for the funds to appear in your account depends on the payment gateway, bank, card issuer, UPI provider or other financial institution.
GoRentiva cannot guarantee an exact credit time for refunds processed through third-party financial institutions.

We may request additional information to verify the transaction and your identity before processing a refund request.
Submitting a refund request does not guarantee that a refund will be approved.
GoRentiva may review the transaction, payment status, subscription status, technical records and information received from the applicable payment provider before making a decision.
Where a third-party payment provider controls the refund or reversal process, GoRentiva may assist or coordinate with that provider where reasonably possible.
GoRentiva is not responsible for resolving disputes between landlords and tenants concerning:
Such disputes should normally be resolved between the relevant parties in accordance with their agreement and applicable law.
